BBC One Big Blue Live from Monterey: An extraordinary oceanic journey


BBC One announce Big Blue Live, a three-part live television event from Monterey Bay, California following the biggest wildlife gatherings in the oceans.

Controller of BBC One, Charlotte Moore says: "In this ambitious television first, BBC One will take viewers on an extraordinary oceanic journey and get up close and personal with marine life above and beneath the water. It promises to be an unmissable live TV event showcasing a spectacular display of sea creatures rarely seen in such close proximity."

Airs on PBS August 31, September 1 and 2, 2015, from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET
with 2nd Live Feed to the West Coast at 8:00 p.m. PT
