Barcelona plans huge 77% pedestrian-friendly zones

Whether you enjoy strolling along the beachfront or sauntering up La Rambla, if on foot is your favourite way to explore Barcelona then you're in luck as the Spanish city is set to become even more walkable.

Barcelona plans to turn 50 per cent of the roads used by cars into pedestrian-friendly zones by 2018 in a bid to make the city more green.
