It costs approximately twenty euros to visit the mighty Alhambra in Granada, Spain, and it's a price worth paying! With spectacular views over the ancient city below, and a huge fortress and palace complex to explore, you will not be disappointed. We recommend booking tickets online well in advance in order to secure entry to this popular, must-see sight.

Built on Roman remains, the Alhambra started its life as a fortress in 889 AD. In the middle of the 13th century Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar the Moorish Emirate of Granada, constructed a palace within its walls. It later became the residence of the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492.
