Walk in the World of Game of Thrones (Insight Guides Croatia)

Love the TV show Game of Thrones? Well now Insight Guides are offering themed trips following a new fashion for traveling to filming locations.

Nicknamed “TV Tourism”, holidaymakers are also traveling to the location where the UK TV Reality Show Love Island was filmed in addition to big budget epics.

Details of the Game of Thrones trip in Split, Croatia can be found on Insight Guides website; a well-timed launch as the final series of the show is due to air in April 2019.

A local expert in Croatia has created the Game of Thrones tour so that travelers can spend less time researching where all the locations are and how to reach them, and spend more time relaxing on their trip. The added bonus with the GoT tour is that you are also given the chance to learn about the history of the region in mind blowing locations and discover the local way of life first hand.

“Our experienced guide was a background actor in the series,” said local expert Sofija Đorđević, “so you will hear some intriguing facts from behind the scenes! You will see the stunning scenery that was featured as the backdrop in the HBO series and get to know the fictional city of King's Landing.”

During the tour you will explore the medieval walls of Trogir and the Diocletian’s Palace in Split, visit King's Landing palace gardens and climb to the top of Fort Lovrijenac in order to see King's Landing from above.
