Antwerp's new "Text Walking Lanes" prevent collision

Have you ever experienced a text messaging collision with another pedestrian while walking down the street? If that was a yes, then I suggest you move to the Belgian city of Antwerp. In this historic port and diamond-trading city they have just made dedicated "text walking lanes".

Some would say it was a publicity stunt, but the brainchild of a smartphone store based in the city, says that a significant number of mobile phone breakages happen because of "text walking" collisions.

There are now believed to be more mobile phones in the world than people.
